Dr. Stefania De Dominicis graduated in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Teramo, with an experimental thesis in Medical and Surgical Veterinary Semeiotics titled "Gait analysis through the use of Inertial Movement Detection Units IMU in the horse". The movement of the animal limbs tested in space, was detected to obtain 3D tracking graphics used to quantify the pace and its phases in the different gaits. She completed a five-year pre-graduate training period at a veterinary clinic based in Giulianova (TE), dealing with rehabilitation with particular attention to the management of neurological patients. Licensed for the veterinary profession, her main fields of study and work concern Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine in Veterinary Medicine. From September to December 2017, she carried out a post-graduate training internship at Policlinico Veterinario Roma Sud – CVRS, in the Physiotherapy department. From November 2017 to October 2018, she participated in the First Didactic Itinerary in Physiatry (ISVPS Accredited - International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies) and in April 2019, she earned the General Practitioner Certificate in Physiotherapy (GPCert - Physio). Registered at SIFIRVET (Italian Society of Veterinary Physiatry and Rehabilitation) since 2018, she participated in numerous meetings, international conferences, workshops and specific retraining on the subject. Since April 2018, she has been managing the activity of the Small Animals Rehabilitation Department at the OVUD - University Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Teramo and since November 2018, she has she was awarded the PhD scholarship in “Veterinary Medical Sciences, Public Health and Animal Welfare”. Co-supervisor of Bachelor and Master degree Thesis (Triennial L38 / Mag. Med. Vet.) on topics related to Rehabilitation and Advanced Diagnostics of the Musculoskeletal System. Author and co-author of several research studies carried out together with the staff of the Diagnostic and Surgery services of small animals of the same University Hospital. Professor and Member of the Scientific Council of the Specialization Course in "Veterinary Rehabilitation" UNITE for the years 2017/2018, 2018/2019 and 2019/2020, actively in charge of the practical laboratory activities in Small Animal Rehabilitation.
